Free Probate Advice Line

When someone close to you dies, there's a great deal to sort out, often at the hardest possible time. It's easy to miss an important step, or simply not know where to begin. That's why we've arranged free, expert probate advice from Kings Court Trust, one of the UK's leading probate specialists.

Call the Free Probate Advice Line on

0300 303 9000

and say you were referred by Direct Wills

Prefer to write? Email info@kctrust.co.uk and mention Direct Wills.

How it works

  1. Call 0300 303 9000. Calls to 0300 numbers cost the same as calls to an ordinary landline and are usually included in your phone package's free minutes.
  2. Say you were referred by Direct Wills.
  3. Talk it through with a probate expert. They'll explain what needs to be done and in what order, for example whether a Grant of Probate is needed and what the Executors should do first.

Open to everyone

You don't need to have made your Will with us. The advice line is open to anyone dealing with the estate of someone who has died, whether you're an Executor, a family member or a friend helping out.

Want someone to handle it all for you?

If you'd rather not deal with the probate and estate administration yourself, you can ask Kings Court Trust for a free, no-obligation call or home visit. They'll look at what's involved and give you a fixed-fee quote for doing the work, so you know the cost up front.

There's no obligation at any stage. You're free to take the advice, deal with the estate yourself, or use anyone you choose.

Executors: know what's expected of you

If you've been named as an Executor, our page on the role of Executors explains what the job involves. And if you're making your own Will, letting your Executors know about this advice line, and where your Will is kept, will make things much easier for them. See our Will storage service.

Direct Wills may receive a payment from Kings Court Trust if you choose to use their probate service. This doesn't affect the price you pay, and there's no obligation to use them.
